Filomena Ristorante is located at 1063 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20007 and out of all my Italian restaurants I have gone to, nothing compares to Filomena. If you walk by you probably wont recognize it, from the street all you see is a old lady dressed in black making fresh pasta. Upon entering you walk into the basement and you soon sense the richness and the culture the restaurant has to offer.
I always tell this story, I believe in the opening page of the menu, it says something like, “I food is judged by the company we keep.” Then it lists all the past Presidents and other well known people who have eaten there.
There is only one dish I eat there, Linguini Cardinale
